RightsLine Software, Inc. its partners and customers (referred to hereinafter collectively as "RightsLine") knows that you care how information and data about you is used and shared. This notice describes our privacy policy. We have created this privacy policy ("Statement") in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to customer privacy. Privacy on this web site (the "Site") is of great importance to us. Because we gather important information from our visitors and customers, we have established this Statement as a means to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices for RightsLine. We reserve the right to change this Statement at any time and urge you to review our Statement regularly to familiarize yourself with any changes.

By visiting this Site, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

Collected Information

Customers who register to use the services ("Services") offered on this Site are required to provide contact information, such as their name, company name, address, phone number, and e-mail address ("User Information") so that we may qualify them as legitimate sellers, buyers, licensors or licensees of Intellectual Property. At the time you express interest in obtaining additional information, or when you register for the Services, we may also ask for additional information, such as title, department, fax number, or additional company information, such as annual revenues, number of employees, or industry. Customers can opt-out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked.

RightsLine uses the information that we collect to set up Services for individuals and their organizations. We may also use the information to contact customers to further discuss customer interest in our company, the Services that we provide, and/or to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events. Separately, customers are also asked to provide an e-mail address when registering for the Service in order to receive a username and password. We may also e-mail information regarding updates to the Service or company. E-mail addresses will not be distributed or shared in any manner inconsistent with this Statement.

Except as explicitly stated at the time we request information, or as provided for in the RightsLine User Agreement, or as may be required for the purposes of providing the Services, we do not disclose to any third party the information provided. All financial and billing information that we collect through the Site is used solely to check the qualifications of prospective customers and to bill for Services. RightsLine does not use this billing information for marketing or promotional purposes. RightsLine uses a third party intermediary to manage the credit card processing. This intermediary is solely a link in the distribution chain and is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information provided, except for the sole purpose of credit card processing. Other third parties, such as content providers, may provide content on the Site but they are not permitted to collect any information nor does RightsLine share any User Information with these parties, unless expressly agreed to by and between the parties, in an effort to prevent against any fraud, or as required by law.

Customers of the Service will be using the Site to host data and information ("Data"). RightsLine will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as provided in the RightsLine User Agreement, or as may be required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the User Agreement, or as may be required by law. Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password.

RightsLine may also collect certain information from visitors to and customers of the Site, such as Internet addresses. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, and to administer our Site in order to constantly improve the quality of the Service. We may also track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our visitors and customers and provide such information to third parties.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information.

If you send us personal correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on our site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you. We use information in the file that we maintain for you, and other information that we obtain from your use of the Services to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, customize our Services and enforce our User Agreement.

We cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Statement. For example, we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.

Cookies

Cookies are files that Web browsers place on a computer's hard drive and are used to tell us whether customers and visitors have visited the Site previously. RightsLine issues a session cookie only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session cookie does not include the username or password of the user. If the cookie is rejected, access to and usage of the Service will be denied. We use cookies on certain pages of our site. Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our site. Most cookies are "session cookies" which means that they are automatically deleted at the end of each session. A cookie itself does not have the ability to automatically collect personal information about you. A cookie can store certain information that identifies your computer to us so that you don't have to re-enter your password or user preferences as frequently when you use our site.

Third Party Sites

The Site may contain links to web sites maintained, owned, or operated by third parties. RightsLine is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other web sites. Customers and visitors will need to check the policy statements of these third party web sites to understand their policies as RightsLine maintains no control over how information is used, collected or disseminated by these third party web sites. Customers and visitors who access a third party web site may be disclosing their private information. Customer agrees that RightsLine is not responsible for how such information is used.

Security

Our Site has security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the data under our control. RightsLine hosts the Site in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Finally, RightsLine provides unique user names and passwords that must be entered each time a customer logs on. These safeguards help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of data.

This Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All User Information stored on our server is stored in a secure database format. Notwithstanding these efforts, we caution you that "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.

Correcting & Updating Your Information

If customers need to update or change User Information they may do so by editing the user or organization record. To update User Information, log on to the Site and select My Profile to add or update information. To update Organization's data or billing information please email: support@RightsLine.com.
